How many Osborn Brushes will I need?
Depending on what’s being removed, a single Osborn brush can be used on 2,000-4,000 square feet before needing replacement.
How many Buffy Pads Will I need?
Depending on what’s being removed, a single Buffy Pad can cover 150-200 square feet before needing to be replaced. The Grabber Pad should be replaced every 10-15 Buffy Pad changes. The Backer Pad needs to be replaced rarely (every 10 Grabber Pads).

In most cases, yes, but not all. The key is to make sure all of the excess felting and wood fuzz is removed from the surface. Secondary sanding with Buffy Pads or Osborn Brushes is usually the best way to do this. In some cases, there isn’t excess fuzzing, so it’s not necessary. In other cases, the wood grain may be raised beyond what you’d prefer, so secondary prep is desired, but not a must.
Buffy Pads work great for light fuzzing after media blasting. Osborn Brushes are a bit more aggressive, so work great on projects that may require more….assertive means of fuzz removal. (Power tools!)
That will depend on how you’re using it. If it’s being used only for removing wood fuzz, not for sanding off all of the damaged wood or leftover stain on a surface, usually 2 brushes will do the trick (assuming about 4,000 sq. ft. of surface area). If you’re using it for more aggressive removal, double that.
