About the Event
The annual Trades Teacher Appreciation Dinner is a special evening dedicated to celebrating the educators who are shaping the future of the trades. It’s our chance to recognize their hard work, dedication, and the impact they have on the next generation of skilled professionals.
We can hardly believe 2027 marks the 6th year of this celebration! Held alongside the International Builders’ Show (IBS), the dinner brings together trades teachers, industry professionals, and supporters for an evening of appreciation, connection, and a whole lot of fun.
Scholarship Announcements: The evening features the announcement of the Program Scholarship and Student Scholarship winners, recognizing outstanding contributions from teachers and students in the trades.
Sponsored Attendance: Each year, Sashco sponsors at least one educator to attend the trade show and dinner. Teachers interested in sponsorship should follow our social media accounts for details on sponsorship.
Networking Opportunities: Attendees can connect with fellow educators and industry professionals to share insights and build meaningful relationships.
DONATE TO THE 2027 PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP
Support the future of the trades by donating to the Trade School Scholarship Program. Your contribution is tax-deductible and goes directly to a trade school program, helping fund essential tools, safety equipment, training materials, and hands-on resources students need to learn and work safely.
This year’s scholarship recipient will be announced at the 2027 Trades Teacher Appreciation Dinner in Las Vegas.

Normalize Going To Trade School
The 2027 Sashco Trades Education Fundraiser is coming soon.
Last year, our Normalize Going to Trade School shirt fundraiser helped support the next generation of trades professionals, and we’re getting ready to do it again.
Stay tuned for this year’s design and fundraiser launch. All proceeds will go toward supporting trades education and the teachers, programs, and students helping keep the trades alive.

MORE ABOUT OUR SCHOLARSHIPS
TEACHER SCHOLARSHIP
Each year, one outstanding trades teacher is awarded the Trades Teacher Scholarship, made possible by the generous support of donors contributing to this initiative.
Donations are collected in the months leading up to the Trades Teacher Dinner, tallied before the event, and one final opportunity to give is offered during the dinner itself. At the event, we announce the total raised and present it to the winning teacher. One teacher is selected annually to receive this scholarship and is announced at the dinner.
All proceeds go directly to the teacher’s classroom program, funding essential tools, materials, and resources they need to keep their students learning hands-on skills.
Thanks to the partnership with the KC BS & Beer Society, all donations are tax-deductible and go straight to the school where the teacher teaches.
STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
Supported by generous industry brands, this scholarship helps set one graduating student on the path to success in the trades.
Teachers attending the Trades Teacher Appreciation Dinner nominate deserving students who are graduating that year and pursuing a career in the trades.
The winning student receives a curated package of tools, learning materials, apparel, gear, and more— generously donated by industry brands. These items are selected to give students a well-rounded start, covering both the essentials and extra resources they’ll need to begin their journey confidently.
The Student Scholarship helps a student starting a trades career get a strong head start, equipping them with the tools, skills, and confidence to begin their journey.

Recognize a graduating senior who’s headed into the trades. One nominated student will be selected to receive a curated package of tools, gear, and materials, all donated by industry brands, to help them launch their career with confidence and the right equipment.
