This cabin was built in 1864 by the grandfather of the current owner. When I first saw it the roof had collapsed and only one corner was still standing. Out of that we salvaged six good logs to use in the most extreme makeover we had ever faced. Replacement logs came from two other cabins along with salvaged lumber from a couple barns to rebuild the cabin with all reclaimed material except for the fasteners, windows, chinking, stain and roofing.
