Felled, debarked logs, left unprotected, will eventually decay and return to nature. Affordable added protection is available with borate products, such as Penetreat, Cobra or Bor8 Rods. In geographical areas with high humidity, beef-up mildew prevention with Stay Clean stain additive.

Finally, moisture and UV protect your home with a high quality stain formulated for log structures. Choose from our water-based system Sashco's Capture Log Stain/Cascade, an oil/water emulsion stain High Sierra, or a VOC compliant oil-based stain Transformation.

	1. Drill the appropriate sized and placed holes to accommodate the rods.

	2. Insert the correct size and number of rods into the holes.

	3. Insert a piece of backer rod into the holes deep enough to allow between 3/8" to 1/2" of caulking to seal the holes.

	4. Seal the holes with a flexible caulking product such as Log Builder.
