Overview
Being a leader in our industry demands that we continue to push for excellence in our products and services. It's why we started our Zero Failures Seminar.
The Zero Failures Seminar is geared primarily towards professional contractors. Equal time is devoted to classroom learning and extensive hands-on training. Our goal is to further educate the industry in state-of-the-art application techniques, teach the principles of log and wood dynamics, and equip each seminar attendee on how to apply this knowledge to each log and wood home he or she finishes, restores, and maintains.

Attendees include people who are new to the industry, as well as seasoned professionals who already have established, successful businesses. To date, we've trained hundreds of contractors in Canada, Japan and the United States.

Tracy Hansen (right) teaches the hands-on section. He owns and operates Stormbusters, Inc., in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, a log home sealant and restoration contracting company. Tracy has worked in the construction industry for 30 years and log home maintenance and care.

Wayne Summons (on the left) is VP of Research and Development at Sashco and wrote much of the Zero Failures curriculum. He is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines in Chemical Engineering with over 30 years of experience in the log home industry. Over the past 30 years, Wayne has overseen the development of all of Sashco's products, authored several industry patents, and has a broad knowledge of the many issues that are unique to log and wood structures.

Log Home Shows

Contractors Log ShowDid you know that Sashco provides the opportunity for contractors to exhibit at local log home shows? We do, and you may be able to participate!

Cole Pavy of Colorado Log Enterprises and his local Sashco retailer, Log Home Maintenance & Supply, took advantage of this program and together they displayed at the Denver Log and Timber Show , early October 2009. Cole, a successful graduate of Sashco's Zero Failures Seminar, professional contractor training, had this to say about the experience...

#1 Exposure - "I'm starting my own log home restoration company and attending this show gave me the opportunity to meet hundreds of people who are my target market (or who can use my services)."

#2 Leads - "I have an appointment to view a large restoration job in Breckenridge next week. Talk about a hot lead!, Plus, I gave out 50+ cards to people who are either building a new home or who were attending the show looking for maintenance and restoration services."

Contractors Log Show#3 Networking - "I introduced myself to other exhibitors who might actually hire my services, or who would refer homeowners to me, exhibitors such as log home manufacturers and dealers."

#4 Credibility - "Sashco produces and is known for its premier products, being in a Sashco sponsored booth gave me instant credibility."

#5 Opportunity - "To use the knowledge that I gained from attending Sashco's Zero Failures Seminar. Log homeowners don't understand proper application, but the solid foundation of education that I gained from attending Zero Failures gave me confidence to sell myself and gave the homeowners confidence that I was the guy to hire to work on their homes.

"Participating in Log Home Maintenance & Supply's booth at this show was an extremely productive utilization of my time. What a great experience."
